API trading connects Panther to your existing Kalshi and Polymarket accounts using API keys you create on those platforms. Your funds stay in those accounts and your keys are stored only on your computer.
API trading is desktop only. If you’re setting up for the first time or want to trade from the web app too, use on-chain trading instead.

Before you start

  • The desktop app for macOS or Windows (API trading isn’t available on web).
  • A verified Kalshi account with API access, and/or a Polymarket account.

Connect Kalshi

1

Create an API key on Kalshi

Sign in at kalshi.com, then go to Account & security → API Keys and create a new key. Save the API Key ID and the private key it gives you.
Your private key controls your Kalshi account. Never share it or paste it into any app you don’t trust.
2

Open Kalshi settings in Panther

In the desktop app, press /, type STG, and press Enter to open Settings. Choose Kalshi.
3

Enter your credentials

Paste your API Key ID and your private key, then choose Validate & Save. Panther checks the credentials and connects your account.

Connect Polymarket

In Settings, open the Polymarket section and follow the prompts to connect your Polymarket account credentials, then save.

Switch to your API trading account

Once connected, the account appears in the account switcher at the top of the Balances panel (labeled Legacy). Select it to trade through your Kalshi and Polymarket accounts. Switch away anytime to use your on-chain or demo accounts.

Security

Your API keys are stored locally on your device and are never sent to Panther’s servers. To disconnect, clear the credentials in Settings.
