Keyboard Shortcuts

Panther supports keyboard shortcuts for fast navigation and common actions.

Global Shortcuts

These shortcuts work anywhere in the application (when not in a text field):

Cmd+1 - Cmd+9	Switch to tab 1-9 (Mac)
Ctrl+1 - Ctrl+9	Switch to tab 1-9 (Windows)
Cmd+X	Clear all panels in current tab (Mac)
Ctrl+X	Clear all panels in current tab (Windows)
Cmd+Shift+X	Close current tab (Mac)
Ctrl+Shift+X	Close current tab (Windows)

Command Palette Shortcuts

When the Command Palette is open:

↑	Move selection up
↓	Move selection down
Enter	Execute selected command
Space	Lock command for argument input
Tab	Lock command for argument input
Backspace	Unlock command / go back
Escape	Close palette

Tab Management

Quick tab switching with keyboard:

Quick Actions via Command Palette

While not traditional shortcuts, these command codes are the fastest way to perform common actions:

Tips

• Muscle memory: The most common commands are short (BAL, CHT, OB)
• Tab workflow: Set up tabs for different activities, switch with Cmd/Ctrl + 1-9
• Quick reset: Cmd/Ctrl + X clears your workspace without closing the tab
• Close carefully: Cmd/Ctrl + Shift + X closes the tab entirely
